SOUND TO PICTURE:
Audio Concept - BigScreen
Tech advertisements have always carried a certain je ne sais quoi—an intangible allure that’s hard to define. I think it comes from the liminal space these products inhabit: somewhere between the familiar and the futuristic. And sound is what anchors them there. The right audio design doesn’t just complement cutting-edge visuals; it makes the technology feel advanced. Ensuring that a high-spec product not only looks but sounds the part is essential to crafting that signature vibe. That is what I did here.
I gave myself the task to sound design something simple and sweet. I found this concept animation for the logo MasterCard on YouTube which you can find
The animation looks great but the accompanying audio had room for improvement. So I gave myself the task to make the audio.

Hot Fuzz audio remade
For this project, I made it my goal to replicate the Foley work from the original Hot Fuzz scene as closely and accurately as possible. Edgar Wright’s sound design relies heavily on hyper-stylised, exaggerated Foley to bring even the most mundane actions-like filling out paperwork, flipping pages, or opening a door-to-life with cinematic flair. These sounds are intentionally overemphasised, sharp, and perfectly timed with quick cuts, giving the scene its signature rhythm and intensity.
This group work was to remake the audio to a small short film clip ensuring that the audio, though different and new, kept the correct emotive feel and full range of sonic interest. I got placed to compose and mix the music. I had members play live instruments to get closer to the authentic feel, most noticeably the strings that are layered with samples to.
